Professional trappers are actually bird catchers and Bombay Natural History Society(BNHS) has transformed them into conservationists. © Mallikarjuna.D.G. © Mallikarjuna.D.G. For ringing, birds were trapped with indigenous traps, ie., mesh nets, noose traps and light and sound or throw net method, depending on the species and habitat.
